FULL MOON RELEASING RITUAL — We’re Back, Beloved Collective

It’s the final Full Moon of the year — and the last chance to let go before we step into an entirely new cycle.

2025 has carried the deep, transformative energy of the Year of the Snake, inviting us to shed, release, and outgrow everything that no longer fits. And as we cross the threshold into 2026 — a Universal Year 1 — we enter a season of new beginnings, rebirth, and fresh alignment.

This is the moon where you clear the old so you can walk freely into your next chapter.

Led by @jah, for this ritual, we’re taking it back to the art of candle magic — returning to divination, flame work, and intentional release to help you step out of the smoke and into your new self.

Shop small, party big! Join us Small Business Saturday 11/29 12pm-4pm in the East Village Arts District in partnership with Seeket LB.

Shop Small Season Kickoff Party on 1st Street between Linden and Elm with food, drinks, music, pop-ups, and holiday shopping galore!

We believe that creativity is more powerful when it’s shared.

In that spirit, we are so happy to be collaborating with our friends at BYO Long Beach to host a community craft supply swap.

This is an invitation to come together, share our resources & give our unused supplies a new story. Keep materials in use and out of the landfill, all while connecting with fellow creatives in our neighborhood.

When: This Saturday, Nov. 8th from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Where: 425 E 1st Street

Feel free to pop in anytime during the event. Whether you want to drop off supplies, browse for new treasures, stay for a while, or simply say hello - we would be so happy to see you!

Art Block on 1st Street is back this month for the Downtown wide Art & Design Walk! Food and music activations (including a harpist from 2-3p on the Arabian Grill patio!), artist popups, special art shows, local shopping, and more!

JOY FEST will take place on Saturday, December 14th from 12-4p, and businesses will be offering up specials, or hosting festive activities! Come out to shop small, eat local, dress festive, and celebrate community!

6th And Detroit, Ethikli Sustainable Market, BYO Long Beach, Burke Mercantile, and Wax N Blush are teaming up this Small Business Saturday to encourage you to support local, and reward you for shopping smart!

Here’s how to participate:

1. Make a purchase at one of these businesses on Saturday 11/25 11a-6p

2. Share a story on Instagram of your purchase

3. Tag @eastvillageartsdistrict and #shopsmart in your Instagram story

4. Show your story and purchase receipt to redeem 20% off your purchase that day at the other four businesses!

Small Business Saturday is an annual holiday shopping tradition - just one part of the larger shop Small Movement that supports small businesses every day and everywhere.
